The joy and challenge of flying radio controlled model aircraft and drones make it a uniquely rewarding sport for people of all ages. The thrill of flight, the sense of accomplishment, and the opportunity to master a new skill all contribute to the appeal of flying model aircraft and drones.
When the weather prevents outdoor flying many flyers move indoors and simply carry on enjoying the thrill of flight. Others simply prefer the extra challenge of manoeuvring these miniature flying machines through and around obstacles and in tight spaces requires focus and skill, making each successful flight a cause for celebration.
Precision Indoor Aerobatics (F3P)
Indoor Freestyle Flying
Whether flying at the very top level of indoor precision aerobatics, F3P, or imaginative and thrilling freestyle 3d flying, or flying in time to music there are competitions for all types of flying.
Others take part for pure recreation and the opportunity for social interaction with like minded people at the many indoor flying events, organised by the BMFA or our Areas and Clubs across the country, that take place most weekends especially through the winter months.
