The upcoming January sales represent something of a change to our more usual auction format, and also something of an experiment.

There will be no PDF catalogue produced for these sales, the first of these auctions is now live for registration and pre-bidding at https://nationalcentre.bmfa.uk/auction#!/

The first sale features a number of lots that have been offered in previous auctions and have not met the reserve figure, we have been instructed by the vendor to offer the items in a further sale with the reserve either cut to 50% or removed completely – there will be bargains to be had.

Additionally, the National Centre receives regular donations of items to sell to raise funds for the various projects and developments, we have recently received a considerable number of engines including several 4 strokes, these will be sold at auctioneers’ discretion i.e. very low or no reserve.

The sale also represents an opportunity for staff training, as we are aiming to bring additional team members up to speed with the auction software in order to give us some “system redundancy” for future sales.

The second January sale features a considerable number of lower value engines, and we have been instructed to sell at either very low or no reserve, again there is the potential for a bargain or two in there.

The sales will take place on Thursday the 15th and Tuesday 27th, start time 6.00pm and will last around two hours, they are online only and as always, we offer a full post and packing service (including international).

You will need to register through the National Centre Website at https://nationalcentre.bmfa.uk/auction#!/ and there is a pre-bidding facility to place bids in advance of the sale date.

We look forward to seeing you live online for a couple of hours entertainment on the 15th and 27th.

With best wishes for 2026
